Tourism Ireland proudly announces the launch of Shamrock Agents' online training programme

 

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15th June 2009 - Tourism Ireland, the official overseas Marketing office for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland is pleased to announce the launch of our new online training programme, Shamrock Agents.  The site is designed to educate agents throughout the GCC on the island of Ireland.  It is hoped that the launch of this site will help agents develop an in depth understanding of Ireland as a whole, which can then in turn be more effectively and efficiently conveyed to clients.

 

As Tourism Ireland is particularly keen to encourage the travel trade to push Ireland this year as an exhilarating change from already popular destinations, the launch of the site will help agents achieve this goal.  The questions help to highlight the diversity of the island of Ireland.  This will allow agents to develop individual packages more suitable to the needs and desires of the client in a manner that suites all types of travellers, from families to extreme sports enthusiasts.

 

“We are very pleased to be introducing this initiative to the GCC market having already successfully launched it in Australia. The Shamrock Online training will engage our travel trade partners, increase their knowledge and assist them in their promotion of Ireland. They will be able to do it in their own time and it is fun”, said Aiveen Ryan, Marketing Manager of Tourism Ireland GCC.
